Unveiling Youth Engaged 4 Change (YE4C)
Youth Engaged 4 Change (YE4C) is more than a platform; it’s a movement. As an extension of youth.gov, YE4C offers a space for young voices to lead and resonate. Its mission is clear: providing resources and opportunities to inspire and empower young individuals to effect change in their lives and the world by enhancing knowledge and leadership skills. This initiative spans across platforms, including the YE4C website, YE4C Instagram, and YE4C Radio.
The YE4C Editorial Board: Your Leadership Platform
1. Fostering Youth Empowerment
The YE4C Editorial Board is a collective of dedicated individuals aged 16 to 24, keen on expanding knowledge and empowering peers. Participation in the board provides an avenue to craft meaningful content, refine leadership capabilities, collaborate with the federal Interagency Working Group on Youth Programs, and serve as an ambassador to peers. This 12-18-month virtual opportunity is compensated and facilitates connections with like-minded individuals and federal staff, fostering enduring relationships.
2. Structured for Diversity and Collaborative Endeavors
Launched in February 2020, the Editorial Board evolves with input from past members, creating a vibrant experience. Since inception, numerous young individuals have actively engaged with YE4C and each other to be positive change agents. The structure accommodates geographical diversity, offering members the chance to learn effective collaboration across time zones using various communication methods.
