Spartanburg Man Arrested for Violating Towing Ordinance

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office recently apprehended Christopher Michael Cole for violating the county towing ordinance. Allegedly towing 11 trucks and trailers from the Spinx on Highway 14 in Greer between Dec 6 and Dec 8, 2023, Cole used two different towing company names: Southern Pride Towing and Affiliation Towing. Deputies discovered his storage lots on Ft. Prince Blvd in Wellford and S. Dantzler Rd in Duncan. Facing charges related to these incidents, Cole is currently in bond arraignment at the Spartanburg County Detention Center. The Sheriff’s Office urges potential victims of improper towing by Cole to file incident reports for further investigation.

Following a shooting on East Shockley Ferry Road, Anderson County deputies arrested 20-year-old Brian Beatty-Martin on murder charges. The incident left a man critically injured, eventually leading to his death. Allegedly firing a semi-automatic handgun, Beatty-Martin faces murder charges. Arrested for allegedly running illegal poker games at a Myrtle Beach home, Justin Brown, 36, and Nicholas Marsico, 45, face charges of renting premises for gambling. Notably, Matthew Jason Gough, 37, faces two counts of possession with intent to distribute after law enforcement discovered fentanyl and cocaine in his possession.
